I have seen Michael Jordan play back in April 1993 in Atlanta and while in Seattle back in August 1997 I went to a Mariners/ Orioles baseball game and got to see Ken Griffey Jr, Cal Ripken Jr. Randy Johnson, and Alex Rodriquez play. Those are the best athletes I have seen play in person.

Anyone that doesn't say Bo Jackson simply never saw him. I never got to see Bo play in person. Iโm sure he was every bit as good as advertised just was unfortunate on it. I actually forgot about seeing Deion Sanders play when he was with the Braves. He would have to rank up there. Deionโs mouth and attitude cost him from being more celebrated as an all time great athlete.

Shifting gears a little - I can't say the best I have ever seen in person, but I know who the best that I ever personally played against.
Sydney Moncrief and Joe Kleine - both Arkansas Razorback basketball players that went on to have pretty successful NBA careers. I played them in a pickup game at Barnhill Arena at the University of Arkansas. Needless to say - my towering 5'10" self didn't stand much of a chance against either of them.
I was guarding Sydney and he two hand dunked on me (he was with the Milwaukee Bucks at the time) - the only thing I completely remember about the play was seeing his chins even with my eyes and thinking how can a guy that is 6'4" jump like that.
I also have a very clear recollection of having Joe Kleine (he was on the Razorback basketball team at the time) making me eat one of my shots inside the paint. I have no idea why I even shot the ball, but one thing is certain - my head fake didn't have much of an impact on his reaction to slap the ball back at me. I still remember him smiling at me as if to say, "You don't belong in the paint."

Hard to argue Bo, but a guy that I graduated a year before could touch a half of hand over the top of the square box above the rim. From a flat foot two handed jump. Just amazing explosiveness.
He was 5โ10 at best.
To add, Cherokee HS up in Colbert County had some studs too. Goodloe, Mills and Malone. The latter was a lefty whitey as I recall. He dunked all over our ass as I recall.

^^^ Had a guy i graduated w that was freakish - he went on to pitch for AU. He could punt it 60 yards throw it 89. I never seen him bat left handy - one day he stepped across the plate from righty to lefty - i was catching at started fussing at him for wasting time - he blasted the next 2 pitches over the light poles into an adjacent field - moon shot homers - i shut my pie hole. At the end of highschool i started teaching him to play golf - he was horrible - could not break 55. In 9 months - he was shooting under par and could hit his 7 iron 190-200 - all his clubs were super long - he drove lot of par 4s and he beat me more than i beat him Athletic family - his brother held the longest field goal for decades in Alabama highschool amd he went on to play for the Bear
Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever

Roy Jones Jr. was a very impressive human in his prime. He grew up in Pensacola, and have met him. In his prime, he was awesome to watch.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
