I’ve heard rumors of mafia dumping bodies in that area back in the day. Is that tied to this guy

Thousands of sink holes in the top right corner, the possibilities are endless . I doubt Frank Potts hid bodies for the Mob , just his own.

There’s hole where I turkey hunt a lot about as big around as a 55 gal drum. It takes a rock 10 seconds before it makes a sound.😳

They was a similar incident..or so im told years ago in marshall co..this story is second handed..so take it with a grain of salt…there was a feller..dont know his real name but i think they called him red..he would dress like a game warden an had some kind of fake badge an he ustah harass folks in an old warden truck ir something..this woulda been in the 70s.. or prior..not long after mashall had a decent season to hunt..anyway..he harassed everbody and had people convinced he was legit cept for locals…he run up on some boys..daddy swore they had stole rabbit dogs from him…on more than one occasion..but who knows for sure..anyway..ol red supposedly run up inem at their truck one evenin about dark…they ambushed him an nearly beat him to death..then they stripped him naked, wrapped him in barb wire an through him in a ditch..he layed there all night in like january..some more rabbit hunters found him the next day and got him to a hospital. I never heard if he was a legit warden, retired..or just some bullchit idiot…an it has been years since i heard this story… maybe someone else knows more

He’s got about 150 or so that border the south side of our farm. I’ve never met him but assumed he had passed. Last I checked, that property was changed into his daughters name.

Is he still alive?

Yep. Plenty of documented.. and even more undocumented caves in these parts. Our property is full of em, I’ve just never had the urge to crawl off in em yet.

I never look at the dates on a thread till somebody mentions it. Pretty cool read though. How in the world does somebody find a thread this old?

Talking about sink holes, caves and such, I know of one hole on the edge of Jacobs Mountain that is probably about 60 feet across and 80-100 feet wide with straight walls and has to be at least 200 feet deep with a sloped bottom and a cave that disappears off to one side. The whole area is full of smaller holes that a fellow could disappear in and not be found for generations or even centuries.

I shot a nice buck two years ago that we could never find. Its trail went down the mtn and just disappeared In the midst of some big stone formations. Once I got to thinking about it weeks later, I bet there was a sink hole it done fell off in.

Off of CR140. On that map you linked, the area in question is between greys chapel and the walls of Jericho.
