They advise against it so, banning it wouldn't be a surprise. CWD concerns

Yet the big cwd states don’t allow baiting and haven’t. That argument is mute in my opinion.
That said…. as non resident Kansas landowner banning bait is fine by me.

They’re also talking about banning food plots. Saying that contaminated seed and equipment carries diseases.

Is it a complete ban on baiting or just ban on any feeding outside of season?

Is it a complete ban on baiting or just ban on any feeding outside of season? If it's truly CWD related one would guess both but, each state comes up with something different for some reason.

They’re also talking about banning food plots. Saying that contaminated seed and equipment carries diseases. This is why you can't just "let the biologists do their job".

Politicians, lawyer types and their sphere of influence, and influential random wealthy folks on random boards. Forestry experts tried to warn California about fire danger for years, and continue to do so. Do they listen? Of course not.

There is a video of the meeting. A group called The Wildlife Society is full on trying to get baiting banned and they are doing the presentation. A lot of it is BS in my opinion.

Depending on the state, it's generally your elite hob knobbers that couldn't hunt their way out of a wet carboard box. Think the duck hunter type whose "daddy carried them to the duck hole for the first time in diapers." Insert a picture of the person in a Filson hat and waxed canvas vest. You will also get guys who couldn't make it in real politics but love a good dick swinging contest. Almost always have been put in position as a buddy deal. Those are generally who makes hunting regulations.

No baiting is going to really hurt a bunch of outfitter businesses and pay to hunt operation's success rates out there. Low or "lower" hunter success, as a result of not being able bait, just might make it better, with regard to the availability of non-resident tags out there.
