It would take a new governor, one who was really concerned about hunting and wanted to make a difference. Tim James is the only candidate I can ever remember who even mentioned the dcnr in campaigning. I voted for him, but very few others did. I don't know if he would have been a good governor, but he said he would fire Sykes so that got him my vote.

There are 2 or 3 members of the CAB who kept Mr. Sykes from getting all the restrictions he wanted. I fear that when their terms are up, they will be replaced by Sykes loyalists who will give him whatever. I suspect that will be a season similar to what MO has - a very late, short season with a 2 bird limit.
