I got my cdl for like $100. You only have to pay for classes if you don’t have the truck to take the test. If you have the truck available to drive you just have to take the computer test to get your permit, then show up with the truck and a licensed cdl driver to take the driving test Not anymore they passed law couple yr ago

Once you pass the written part.....go to the Troopers' Office in Walker County for your road test-----much more friendly/easy. You'll have to have a Rig with someone else driving it up there who has a CDL of Course. Those days are over

If I had a cdl, could I easily pick up weekend work if I didn’t own my own truck? Thanks. Most likely

Well guys. After a 4 hour ordeal and with God's blessing I passed and now have my CDL. In the rain. Where I got my permit had trained me the wrong way. May have been for test in Huntsville but not at Marshall County Technical School. I am wore slap out. They really helped this old man. PTL
