Frankie I’m not suggesting what you should do but personally I would have killed that deer both two years ago and last year. He is what he is and isn’t going to become anything different.
Far as age class of bucks go, I like to compare them to the growth that happens in people. 1 yo buck: similar to a 7-8 year-old young athlete. 2 yo buck: similar to a 10-11 year old young athlete. 3 yo buck: comparable to a 13 to 14-year-old athlete after they have hit puberty. 4 yo buck: comparable to a 17 and 18-year-old athlete that is long, tall, mostly skeletally mature, but still gangly. 5 yo buck: the same athlete that now has had a few years in a college weight program and has added a lot of muscle mass. 6-7 yo buck: that same athlete once he has finished college and is playing professional ball, fully filled out and fully mature.
Wish it was hunting season.....year round
