Found one today while mowing. Got hit 6-7 times within about 4 seconds. Two BIG welps on my left leg/thigh.

I put about 2 cans of foaming spray down the hole. Came back after finishing and foamed it up again and let the mower idle about a foot away. Kept her foamed up for about 3-4 minutes. I think I got them all.

I texted Mrs Hammer and told her, and when I got done my 3 yr old had her fisher price doctors bag with stethoscope and thermometer out with bandaids and an ice pack for daddy. Didn't sting so bad after that.

Be careful. I got hit Bushhogging 5-6 times years ago and no issues other than pain but the next time I was stung by a wasp I had an allergic reaction. It might be wise to keep Benadryl handy if you don't want to carry an Epipen just in case.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

That’s a lot of spray. If they are in the ground I just use about 2oz of gasoline. Right in the hole. It kills everything inside in seconds.

I have always put a coke bottle full of diesel down the hole and shoved the bottle in the hole until the next day.

Guys, them spawns of hell aren’t worth that much in fuel. Poverty stricken North Korea executes the folks with anti-aircraft weapons. Professionals use a .22 behind the ear.

If it's on the yard, it also kills the grass for several months. Leaves a bald place.

I usually wait until after dark to go exterminate a demons nest whether it be jackets, redwasps, or whichever flying devils it may be. That way, they are most likely to all be at home when I do it. During the day some will be out hunting, therefore, away from the nest. When they return I don't know if they go all the way to the nest of leave when it doesn't smell/look right. Also, Dawn dishwashing liquid mixed 1 part to 4 or 5 parts water works equally as well and as fast as gasoline or wasp spray does. It's much quicker than the foam I've tried. You know, just in case the idea of splashing a cup of gasoline or diesel fuel on your soffit and facia doesn't sound appealing to you or if you are fresh out of wasp spray.

If you haven’t ever used Dawn and warm water on wasp etc it’s deadly. I use it on my porches and it’s instant death.

I wash my dogs with dawn. It kills fleas on contact.

LOL, that's my technique too. Go full pyro on them. The nest is likely huge, and in several levels. Needs mo gas.

Dawn with water here. That's my dogs bath too. It doesn't kill the grass, it's cheap, no danger of fire and works immediately.

I’ve used the dawn with water for red and paper wasps before when I didn’t have a streaming wasp spray around and it’s pretty effective. I still prefer the couple oz of gasoline for the in-ground yellow jackets. Getting them after dark is ideal but most of my interactions are in my client’s yards. I’m happy to destroy the nest for them but I’m not excited about doing it on a return trip. A little bit of gas in the hole doesn’t kill more grass or a shrub than the wasps themselves do.
