It's probably 1 foot tall and just been staying in my back yard around the creek. Kind of gives the look of a young crane but it can fly fast and run fast, like it's not so young. When it flies it has a white feathers on its back. Just curious to what kind it is.

Almost looks like some brand of Rail.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Looks like a juvenile white ibis.

There’s a glossy and white faced that are both dark, but that has the juvenile plumage of the white.

The elusive snipe. You can catch them after dark in a tow sack.

Agree with Mbrock.

Nope!! More like wild duck. The white ones are way better the the black ones. We have them by the millions here. I grew up eating the white ones. They make one heck of a good gravy. Grandpa and daddy never killed the black ones. They said they stink. I have eaten the black ones but they are a little more gamier. We always called them “bay crosh” which is French for crooked bill.

Young white Ibis, aka curlew, aka hoover chicken. Brown ones are young older ones are white.
