Looks like you might be right, i Googled it and I believe that's what it is. Beak is the same and about the same size and neck looks the same. Colors are slightly different but maybe that's common

wonder if it taste like chicken Nope!! More like wild duck. The white ones are way better the the black ones. We have them by the millions here. I grew up eating the white ones. They make one heck of a good gravy. Grandpa and daddy never killed the black ones. They said they stink. I have eaten the black ones but they are a little more gamier. We always called them “bay crosh” which is French for crooked bill.
It's hard to kiss the lips at night that chews your a$$ all day long.
