This field floods like this a couple of times every winter. Never seen it happen in the summer before. 12 acres of milo, sunflowers, and brown top down the drain.

Hate that for you that’s a lot of time and money. You can always top sow wheat when it dries up

If the water leave’s quickly you still have a small chance of having some duck food especially if your planted stuff was not to mature

How long will it be under water.....??

I had some ducks in mind with this field. It will normally hold some sheet water most of January. There’s a water treatment pond that holds 100s of big ducks about 1/4 mile away. Unfortunately, most of my food will be knocked out before it matured.

Just a low field, that’s bordered by a big creek.

Normally only about 24-48hrs and then holds a couple of acres of sheet water in the low spots. But it looks like a lot more rain coming this week.

If it will dry out enough, I’ll just start top sowing the hell out of it.

Trot line ain’t a bad idea. I was considering a zip line.

Millet and milo might be ok, Austin.

I wouldn’t chalk it up to a loss just yet if the water will get off.

Hate that for you. Maybe some of your crop will make.

My thoughts

I’d have some millet on hand ready to spread and as soon as that water was off and the mud is still soupy wet if throw that millet out and you stand a good chance at a crop
