I’ve watched several angles of all of it. Bottom line is none of it should have happened. White guy shouldn’t have pushed the dude. The captain or whatever should have called police to resolve the issue. It should have stopped there. It didn’t. No woman should have been hit period. It’s sad and embarrassing for the city but everyone already knows what to expect.

I saw a video from the beginning. Dude was asked to move boat as it wasnt to park there. Dude argued and walked away. Security moved the boat for the party barge to park. 3-4 men started on guard. Dude struck guard. People on barge came to help guard.

Now where it all went to crap:
Guard should have call the police
Guard shouldnt have moved the boat
Captain should have never parked that boat
No women should have been involved

I do not have first hand knowledge of this version but I talked to a person whose relative was there on the dock. When the River boat arrived the white people were not with the boat. Not sure where they were as I’m not familiar with the area. The black employee of said river boat took it upon himself to attempt to untie said boat and push it away from the pier. One of the wives goes back to the boat to retrieve something and witnesses this and confronts the employee. A shouting match starts and said employee pushes and possibly slaps said wife. Husband sees this from a distance and does what most husbands would do.

The grown men holding a women ( who’s on the ground) by the hair and repeatedly punching her in the head is about as sorry of an excuse of a human being as you can get. I don’t what color his skin is.

AL.com is trying its hardest to make this into a racial incident reminiscent of some 1960's era civil rights event. Their reporting is pushing the narrative in hopes that it will make national news....and it has. Guess they will fill in the facts later, if ever. At this point, other than video evidence of a fight, not sure that much is known about the true facts of the incident.

All of this could have easily been avoided if the Selma folks had just heeded what the signage said about not tying their boat up there.

If you can operate a boat, you should dang well be able to read and follow some simple directions.

It was awesome up until about 5yrs ago before the news lied about it. It's crowded and over priced now. And not nearly as safe as they thought.

That is certainly not the narrative that the Black folks who only see things based on color, in Selma and Montgomery are promoting. Of course, all their info is coming from Facebook so you know it is true.

Yeah but the rest of the world is not seeing any of that, or the large group of blacks exiting the river boat and joining the fray, that they clearly were not in any way involved in. The only video footage clips being shown on fox and all the other national media, is just the short clip showing multiple white guys pushing and assaulting the black man. Hmmmm as Skinny would say. Now, why do you think that is??? White guys definitely appeared to start it, based solely on what has been shown, but what happened before they came running in and started in on the dock attendant? Is Ant67's information above correct? That part of the video is conveniently missing too. Was one of their wives pushed or slapped/assaulted by the dock attendant? Without the complete footage, which I am sure exists from multiple angles, which I am also sure we will never see in its entirety, there is no way to know who is/was in the wrong or the right. All I can say is that multiple white guys jumping on the black guy is wrong to start with and should have never happened, anyway you cut it.

Yea he did untie it, and pushed it off and looked to be into another boat. The big river boat had about 75-100 other democrats on it cheering him on like cheerleaders at a football game. You can’t get that many of them in one place without some kind of fight or drama. They like to be loud and seen.

If that’s the case then some light needs to be shed on the facts. That river boat should be at the bottom of the river.

If that is the case, then the city or whomever operates the other boat should not have gotten all bent out of shape about someone tying up there then. The failure to not have signs posted about that would lie with the city if they operate the commercial watercraft from there.
