Some of the pontoon boaters I consider friends and I'll be the first to tell you that both parties were in the wrong and it seems to have started with the Selma folks not abiding by rules, which doesn't surprise me for some of them. I can tell you though that the one in the visor is an absolute nice guy. If he participated in violence I'd be shocked. Another one I know and recognize it would shock me if he participated in violence because I would expect him to be running his mouth while hiding.

I too was surprised that the ones that appeared to be security officers or police just watched. The mayor didn't mention anything about those guys failing to do their job. That situation could have easily turned into a gun battle. Montgomery is not a good place to be. I saw a CBS report today that showed that home values are falling faster in Montgomery than anywhere else in the nation.

Looked like a couple of the security guards or police officers were casually watching and laughing. Looks like one of the guys fighting says something to them. If they had cuffs, I doubt they are security guards.

The mayor will not say anything about them not doing their job. The mayor is racist and he wants to run white people out of Montgomery. He believes that by doing that he gets more power and control. He has openly stated as much and was recorded saying that not to long ago.
