As for the signage, I don’t know. I honestly don’t remember what’s posted down there or if there is any. I’m speaking out loud, but I don’t recall any private boat ever docking or attempting to dock there. Same here. I’ve been to River Front park many times and as recently as two months ago for a crawfish boil. Where the River boat docks is a floating ramp that fluctuates with the water and is the only place for a boat to dock. I’ve never seen a private boat dock there because they usually do it at the Capital City Oyster Bar located in a slough just North of the park. The current is crazy on the big water where the River boat is.

The chair wielder was taken down but not charged at that time. Now I assume the administration is waiting to see if this blows over or gauge the outcry from the White community if they don't charge any of the Black assaulters. Keep in mind the charges against the White participants were done so quickly as to prevent more Black outrage. That is simple Racial Identity law Enforcement, which I'm all too familiar with. This is what a Black Pastor in Selma, John Grayson, who I know is a very good and genuine man or God, put out to Selma after this mess:
THE GLASS BOWL
“It’s like all of us living in a large bowl that’s made of glass dangling from ropes a mile high in the sky. One group is upset with the other and both began hitting the bottom of the large glass bowl with a pick. One group looks at the other group and thinks to themselves that once I break this glass bowl, the other group is going to fall to the ground. They continue hitting the glass bowl, Never realizing that when it finally breaks, they BOTH will experience the same demise as the other.”
The irony of the story is that if the black community fail, the white community fails. If the white community fail, the black community fails.

I hope his analogy gets through and his wisdom is heeded.

From the very start, I said the whites were to blame for starting this. You are exactly right in what you said in this post. This is preferential treatment of the blacks in order to keep rioting down. The pitiful thing is the blacks still think they are being racially treated. Do you think the chair guy will eventually get arrested?

Nobody is moving to Montgomery but a lot of folks are moving out of Montgomery.

No excuse whatsoever about their behavior, but as we all know, the White guys are not from that area. Selma has its own marina and at least one of the guys lives on the River. I have no idea why they were in Montgomery to go to the River, but I know they don't go there all the time. It wouldn't have hurt them though to move when asked, if asked politely.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

When the white folks aren't eating out, shopping, and otherwise patronizing businesses, the chickens will come home to roost. No city can have nice things for all to enjoy without keeping all the crime suppressed and treating EVERYONE this same. It doesn't matter what race you are, just be a decent person who doesn't destroy property and resort to violence every time something is said or done that ruffles your feathers. Furthermore, if you are self aware enough to know that when you drink adult beverages you are prone to get a little cocky and/or belligerent and tend to react by throwing hands or more, don't do your drinking around the general public. And, if you are not aware, then ask those that are around when you get toasted and see what they say.

more charges are possibleThis was my take on the fight. The fight was over and the idiots were back on their boat when the Harriott docked and the passengers and crew members started the fight again. Anyone with a CCP know you can defend yourself but you can't chase someone down. If any city employee was involved Mayor Reed will have to answer for it. The only thing more powerful then the race card is a lawyer wanting to sue someone and when I say someone I mean the City of Montgomery. Don't think I'm defending the idiots from Selma because they got what they deserved.
