Got into them going in the brush after a bird on a dove shoot a few years ago. Things ate me up!

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

If I go to the woods, first I spray myself down, put clothes on spray them down. As soon as I get home the clothes come off and I take a hot shower, wash clothes. Been working

Worst I've ever seen them were at Camp Blanding, Florida around 1990.
We got them so bad that we were trying to melt down sticks of deodorant in canteen cup for the alcohol to pour on our legs.
Got back to 29 Palms and there was a pallet of chigarid or something similar in supply. Said they didn't know what it was so they didn't send it with us.

Spray down bow season camouflage in permethrin real good and let dry outside. Wear 5 times between washes and treatments. I may never see a deer but it’s ok if I never get a chigger either. It’s not worth it to boil in mid October heat then get eaten by chiggers just to drag my butt up the hill to the vehicle. Without the chiggers it’s bearable with or without some downed brown

I use Sawyers spray, it seems odorless and very effective. When I do get bites then I rub down with vinegar

For those who have gotten bit, try putting Cool Mint Listerine on them to help with the itch and cool it down. Has to be real Listerine and has to be cool mint.

Damn I didn't know chiggers loved spanish moss and one time I hung some of that moss around my climber after I got up there. Man that evening they had me tore up from the belt down if you know what I mean. Friggin horrible. Bet I had a thousand bites. My gf was pissed as I was out of commission for a few days.

When we went to the beach I always had to remind our kids to not put the moss on their heads like a funny wig. I learned it the hard way years ago.

Phucking chiggers are worse than a state wildlife agency looking at ways to make money.
