Here's a bold prediction for you. I've worked hard and channeled my inner Burbank, in order to make this call:

AU wins their first 3 games (fans are going crazy National championship is a certainty at this point) but alas, finishes the season 3-9. Freeze is fired after game 3, after being caught making out with yeller feller's wife in the heat of the moment, in a raucous, post game, locker room celebration, after defeating the mighty Samford Bulldogs on a last second field goal, after the refs call 6 penalties in a row, moving AU from its own 5 yard line to the Samford 20, in the last 30 seconds, and into field goal range. Yeller Feller has had enough, divorces his wife, and ceases to be an AU booster. AU has to pay Freeze 10 million cash to terminate his contract. NCAA investigation starts soon after, and ends with Auburn getting the death penalty, after half the recruiting class tells the investigators that they were all provided with multiple hookers on their second official visit. Two of the recruits were underage and their families sue the university for $100 mil. Reverend Freeze leaves campus with his 10 million in his pocket and his head held high, as he rides off into the sunset with AD Cohen's wife. AU finishes the year in an even bigger dumpster fire than they were in when Freeze was hired.

I just call them like I see them. I stated in the first sentence that I channeled my inner Burbank for help. It's really not too far out of the realm of possibility, given the people and school involved.

Bama's schedule is too tough. Hate to say it but UGA vs. OSU for the title. Michigan has easy schedule but Harbaugh craps his pants in bowl game again.

The only thing that people didn't like about him at AU is his affinity with too many boosters while trying to undercut Mahlzan thinking he'd get the job. Hellava defensive mind.

This. Bama simply isn't getting the players they once did. And before you say they've had the #1 class X many years, the star rankings aren't transitive property like they used to be. 10-15 years ago there were 10 five stars and maybe 50 4-stars industry wide. Today everybody's a 4 star, and there's multiple dozen 5 stars. But you can literally LOOK at the players and see the difference.
Think about Ashawn Robinson, Jonathan Allen, Reuben Foster, Dareus, Rolando McClain, Chance Warmack, and any of the other elite names Bama had....they looked like 40 year old men with a death row prison sentence. Full beards, old looking faces, fully mature bodies, and they acted like they had no regard for human life. They were the alpha males of alpha males. Have we had a safety like Mark Barron since him?? When's the last linebacker we had that would absolutely destroy people? Does anyone come to mind when you think of "mean alpha male"? We haven't had a back like D Henry or Najee Harris in 3+ years.

Most of the guys on Bama's teams lately look like babies, they aren't overly built physique wise, and I haven't seen a "killer" in a few years. Bama's guys act like good little church boys, they don't "make anybody's ass quit" anymore. Bama has been very speedy, but they've been bullied for a couple of seasons.
