I checked my traps Friday and had one coon, next set trap was gone, rebar still in the ground firm, about 15 inches of rebar sticking out of ground, did the coon somehow get chain off the bar or a yote pull it off? That's why I run 1/8" cable extensions on mine. Plus it's faster/easier than driving stakes.
"Cull" is just another four letter word...

Set 6 dp today and 2 dog today. One drop of sweat hit ground at first dog trap - that one prob done - why i usually dont dog this early - but want to catch coyote while fawn drop

Set traps for one night - had one coon this mornin - also set one dirt hole - stepped all over - did not go off - unset all traps - ready to go at it hard when i can then quit before deer season - caught several coons last 3 weeks

Just set 5 dps and 5 dirt hole - gone try to let them run atleast 3 days - if lucky - maybe 6 days. Been seeing yotes in the road on cam - sometimes back to back days - but more often it seems like i am just part of their loop - every 5-6 days maybe is more normal
