Ammo has to be in original packing—- is the rule. Can be in the same case as the gun. Can only carry a certain amount
This was my understanding when I've flown with a rifle. Anyways, the original ammo box will help prevent questions that may arise beyond the standard , "Is it unloaded". I had the original unopened ammo box in the gun case and had no issues, other than chuckling when I went on an archery hunt and the B'ham TSA lady asked if my bow was unloaded?
