OK- so was about to watch ESPN TH Night college football....UF/Utah... right before kickoff- the screen goes blank. Thought it was an issue with my TV. screen comes back on and .....
Spectrum pulled the ESPN channels so they could get maximum effect- put a message on screen they" have tried to negotiate a fair deal".... FK EM.
Will have You Tube TV by this time tomorrow.
That is all.

Spectrum what idiots. Just gave youtubetv a ton of subscribers but hey you’ll have to keep Spectrum internet unless you got better options 😁

YTTV

Then add some apps…Hulu, Peacock, Prime, History, Paramount. Some free, some a few dollars. You’ll have more TV for less $.

1 hour and 20 minute wait. when I got the guy, he said his call cue went from 30 people to over 1000 in 30 minutes at 8:05 eastern.
Guy was in Michigan- he was pissed because he said as soon an I get home i gotta get Youtube or Fubo.
Told him while I was on hold I signed up for Youtube TV, was watching the game already- I am not very technically savvy but even I figured it out,
Cancelled TV
Stopped Autopay
kept internet and even with the new Youtube monthly cost I just saved $35 a month.
He also said they thought it would be resolved in 2 days but i said I am not waiting around to find out.

Disagree, for 4 main reasons.

1. The streaming services have the same service disruptions due to $ disputes as cable/satellite.

2. There is a significant lag between live and streaming...average of 20-40 seconds when viewing live sports.

3. Changing channels is a pain...especially on game days when you're flipping back and forth between 2 or 3 different games. There's no "recall" or "last channel" button. You have to go to the guide and scroll every single time to change channels.

4. Many don't live in an area with strong enough internet to stream tv.

I'm not 100% opposed to going to streaming in the future, but as long as I can keep renegotiating my bill with Dish to stay within $10 or so, which I did about 3 weeks ago, I'll stay with them...with the lag and the channel swapping issues listed above as my reasons.

This. My wife switched us over to internet tv and I still hate it. Even if you have all the games lined up for easy access for last watched, one you click on it that damn spinning circle will run for a few minutes and if it’s overloaded then the screen will freeze up. Then you have to turn the tv off and start all over again. We have Spectrum everything.

I called Dish and politely told them that I now had fiber, and "others" would love to have my business. I really didn't want to leave.
They gave me a "deal" for 12 months that sure helped. We'll see what happens after that. When it's pouring rain, I have Watchfree+
on my Visio TV also.

Yup.

Truth be told...streaming is best for saving a little money, and that's about it. It has no other advantages over cable/satellite. I hate that it's that way, but it's true.
