All of the people I saw in that video are guilty of not knowing how to fight.

To connect some dots for anyone interested, Mr. Roberts is the only White one I don't know. I know very little about him. Mary Todd AKA Wheezer (Always assumed her middle name is Louise), is two years younger than my son and was a cheerleader at Morgan for as long as she was in school, her brother is the next in the photo lineup, Allen Todd, the one with the flying leap into the fray. He graduated the same year as my son and in high school he was interested in joining the Coast Guard as he and his sister grew up on water. Don't know whatever happened to that. Their father Steve, who was also present, inherited a house across from Tacky Jack's in OB. I think Allen lives and works down there now. The two Todds are nice kids but they come from a family that likes to stay on the River and drink a lot of beer, which is the root of all these issues. The next is Wheezer's boyfriend Chase Shipman. He has always been very nice and respectful to me. He is the relatively new owner of Vassers Mini Mart and deli. Very good gas station food! When I lived in Selma I ate from there often. Last time I was in town I filled up twice from there just because Rose Sanders was trying, not very successfully though, to lead a boycott against the store. Allen and Mary's mother was supposedly arrested also but she is not pictured. I hope her charges were dropped. I don't know Robert's lawyer. I am curious to know who the Todds got to represent them. I know this may be more info than you want to know but it might help connect faces for those following this.

Of course, the next pictured is the chair dude from Montgomery. I know nothing about him.

I'll give you a clue how it will play out. The judge will look at the video in chambers and come out and allow them to have a trial before he says ". I find you guilty how much can you pay today"? They will probably know before they are allowed to have their trial how he's going to rule.

That's how municipal court rolls. It's revenue court. Justice is for people who can appeal.

I can tell you how it would work in most courts but I don't know about Montgomery since they are making this into a racial issue. In most cases, they would let the three younger defendants enter into a diversionary program and then the charges are dropped after completing the program. Probably Mr. Roberts also if he has a clean record. We'll see.

White folks will get the max. Chair guy gets charged dropped or diversion.

If you are going to get drunk and be stupid then you best have deep pockets because that temper tantrum is sure going to be expensive. Can you imagine the jury composition there? Best plea guilty, plea bargain down to a fine with no jail time, pay up and walk away.

I was just messing with y’all Morgan academy folks, I went to Dixie then Lakeside before I went to GW Long. I figured y’all would be giving me heck. Like someone mentioned before, I’d be after that “go fund me” money if I were that lady who got hit with the chair. My uncle is probably representing the rest of the paddle boat folks.

They are some particular folks. Ole boy had to clean his pickup twice a week whether he drove it or not. I wish I was half as disciplined as he was when we were playing ball.
