I used to take my K-9 Malinoios Taz a lot of places with me, esp in hot weather. 99.9% of the time no problems.
Once while walking down sidewalk in Cahaba Heights I had a 25ish black man lunge at Taz for no reason. I had her on a six foot lead and stopped her lunging at his in self defense. I asked what his damn problem was. He said he didn't like police dogs. I unhooked her lead and told her to watch him...and then told him to do that again. He decided getting the hell out of there was the best move for his black ass.
I took Taz into the Cahaba Heights Post Office once to get my mail. Black woman behind the barred window started screaming at me to get "that damn dog" of the PO, they weren't allowed in there. (I was in uniform and Taz had a collar with a badge on it ) She got loud and then I did. Postmaster came out to see what the commotion was about and told her to shut up. She declined to follow order and he told her to get in his office. Again she asserted her right to be stupid and ended up getting fired on the spot. Postmaster apologized and told me to bring Taz in any time I was there.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
