My lab got popped by an unknown Thursday. He was let inside Thursday afternoon and his head looked like a balloon. Two dots on the nose. Rushed him to the vet and $1,077 later he is acting like nothing happened. I think the worst part is I never located the snake and didn’t get the pleasure of dispatching it. They are definitely out right now.

Good dog. Bad snake. Glad he is going to be OK. Tell her to give him one of those doggie popsicle cups you can get at WalMart. My dogs love them and I bet he would appreciate something frozen like that.

But he will live. Watch out. My daughter's dog was nailed by a cottonmouth yesterday. He'll be OK but he ain't happy. She opened the back door and the dog ran out, snake was waiting by the steps, nailed him, daughter bashed snake's head in with a shovel. Four feet long classic cottonmouth. The is rural St John's county Fl. They back up to a swampy nature preserve. Seems they have been feeding the cute deer corn too close to the house. My granddaughters pup got bit by an unknown this past Wednesday. Just showed up with a swole up face. He's better now but was mighty pitiful for a couple of days.
