Well, if I ever had a desire to go, it is dead now. Not a clue on any of them, but I did play with a Yo-Yo when I was a kid. That's as close as I can get to recognizing any of them. Obviously, they are not trying to get the Country Music or Classic Rock crowd interested. Hopefully, if as some of you say, these are 80's and 90's Hip Hop performers, the attendees will be older and more subdued than the modern day Rap crowd.

There wasn’t a single one of you krackers going to that blacker than black MoonPie Drop no matter who was headlining. We haven’t been since ‘05-06 and we were outnumbered a smooth 10-1 back then. Well last year there were a couple black performers but then it was Red Clay Strays followed by Third Eye Blind. The shooting occurred about 4 blocks away during Third Eye Blind. The crowd, then, was maybe 50/50. The good news is this lineup should keep most of the white folks away and draw more ninjas to the area. Perhaps the city’s demographics will lighten a tad by the next day. It’ll be rough on the restaurants and bars though.

I usually stay at the Admiral but honestly I have not been in the last 2 years. But Mobile Dolphin Street is one of our favorite vacation spots. You can just walk to all the bars and restaurants.

I mean, it is called the Moonpie drop after all. I couldn't think of a place I'd rather stay as far away from on New Year's than that place.

I know some good does come outta da strangest things, I remember Moonpies and Popeyes free 1/4 Chicken doubloons at the Mardi Gras parades taught me fighting tactics that have saved my life on many occasions around the world.
