A truck I always liked was a guy at school . It was a stepside short bed Chevy. Had what looked like 33”s on the back and street tires front I had a green Chevy Stepside positraction 4:11 gears like that back in the day, went to summer school at Satsuma

We ran the Buckshot Mudder type of tires on the back of the Chevy trucks and rarely got stuck in the red clay mud. I sure miss those old days..... Tire sample

My grandfather was the proud owner of a 1976 Ford Ranchero with Buckshot mudders on the back. Yazoo clay was all around and it was a necessity on the farm in the clay and Big Black River bottomland.

Mine was a 67 Chevy step side, hot water 6 & three on a tree. 31-10.50 was as big a tire as it would pull.

I went a many a places with an f150 and buckshot tires from the coop on the back with street tires on the front. My dad had the same set up with wagon wheels on his black Ranger in the mid 70s

I began my deer hunting career with a 1976 Toyota Corolla with a manual transmission. It had positive traction rear wheel drive. I put mud grips on the rear, took out the passenger seat for better deer hauling(trunk was rusted out), and drilled a 1” hole in the passenger side floor board to drain blood and water when washing the interior out. The interior was all vinyl. I never got it stuck. I drove it like a rally car. Hair pin turns were a breeze when I learned to snatch the parking brake.

I think I’m going to do that on my 2WD truck since my old Z71 died recently.

The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

funny you should mention this, my brother had a 69 Chevy stepside with a three speed on the column. He had big buckshot mudders on the back and there is still places on us where you can see the ruts he made spinning. It would go but by God it was slinging mud everywhere.
Everything woke turns to shucks

The farmers thought 4wd was something that would just tear up.
in my neck of the woods.... you were a poser if you weren't running Co-Op Grip Spurs and weld the diff. You could get by with some Power Kings without looking like too much of a chump.

I had a 69 f100, 74 chevy, 77 F150, 73 F100 all with mud grips on the back. I've got an 06 chevy 2wd now that I'm seriously considering putting some buckshot on the back. A heavy cable come a long and mud grips was all you needed to go anywhere.
