I know there is several different types of spike strips but does anyone have success from a particular one or even something different? I put tin around the tree but they are still able to reach it somehow. I know I could trap these probably pretty easy but want to keep future ones off also. The little bastards rack out all the corn and keep the deer ran off.

Duke DP’s are very affective. I’m not sure what to suggest with that type set up. Maybe see if you can get it a little higher then use the tin. That looks pretty low. Almost like they could reach and pull themselves up.

IMO you need to just trap them they are super easy to catch with a DP Coon Trap just put some corn under the trigger and they will be waiting on you when you get back the next morning. The other bait I like is a marshmallow they can't get that out without the trap firing. You can clean them out in a couple nights or fight with them for the rest of deer season... that's your choice really.

I drive 3 ground stakes in around my feeders and leave them in the ground..... when I get a coon on camera I clip the trap to the ground stake and usually catch them first night.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

I second the DP traps work well but they just keep coming. As far as the strips- I bought carpet tack strips and cut them in half. Used zip ties to secure them on two sides of each leg.

I’m sure I’ll have to use the traps. Wanted to see if I could keep them from getting on the tube would help first.

Do you think they are jumping to the tube from the ground? If not, I would think they are jumping from the other tree, if the metal wrap worked. I would try wrapping the tree to the right first to see if that helps.

That ain't nothing. The local raccoon gang at my place are plotting to kill the deer.
