Question for 1bamashooter. What is the neck diameter of your chamber and how much clearance are you turning for?

Cast up a nice box loadof 7.62X39mm to fill some empty new cases. And cast up some 357 158 grain boolits for the special and magnum. Just got the mold from Lee. Does a fine job too.

2 cavity or 6? Those Lee molds are unde rated IMHO. My 44 spl loves them.

Double cavity. I just don't do very well with a 6 gang mold.

Decided to load up some Krag ammo with some Lyman 3111284, these should be fun stuff at the range.

Started mixing my alloy for making bird shot over the next few days. First 62 pound batch. One more to go do I've enough for 5 bags of shot hopefully.

Loaded up some popgun loads with Titegroup in 300 BA. Prepped some brass also. Just waiting for a cool down to get back to shooting regularly.

Setting up for my run of 7.5 shot. Getting way too expensive to buy it any more.

I loaded up some 6.5 Creedmoor and some 223 rounds.

83% of all statistics are made up.

Loaded about 100 rounds of 1 1/8 oz 16ga. Exhausted the last of the 800X powder I had. It doesn't meter worth a crap, but sure was a good powder for heavy field loads. Hate they discontinued it. That's pretty awesome on the shot machine nitro. Price of shot has made it to where it's not economically feasible for me to load, but I don't shoot enough to get into making shot.

In most cases I'd have to agree with you. But considering all that is going on in the domestic and international news it sparks the initiative to be forward leaning for the family and the small community I now live in. Should supply chains fail completely or just partially shotguns are pretty useless for protection or food collection without shot, except maybe as a boat anchor. Having the time right now to prepare for a future need beyond trap or skeet and clays is just good common sense thinking. I've spent the time we were living in West Mobile collecting lead roofing jacks so I would be able to spend some time at the range shooting without a considerable drain on my fixed income in retirement. I now have the time and material to add some more supplies for whatever the times might bring. I build a smelter a few years ago to turn the roofing lead into usable metal. Ended up with about 700 pounds of metal. Should be good for awhile I hope.

Well technically the shot maker works just fine. The only problem was the coolant. The type of coolant you use is key to the quality of the shot. Unless you have the right coolant that works with your alloy, at the temperature you are at, there are factors unique to each shotmaker that you have to dial in on what works for you. I ran a boat load of alloy and played with the temperature and still came out with poor shot quality due to the coolant I was using. So I switched to a inexpensive fabric softener from Walmart called final touch. Upon my next run my shot was next to perfect. My only change was the coolant. This morning I got down to weighing the shot and bagging it up. Next task is to tumble the shot in graphite. Good looking shot and 52 pounds of #7.5
