Some of that proposed airport area is under a federal conservation management program. What does that mean? It's basically a crop duster airport only Ranes utilizes and now they are spending millions on it I just know its around the edge of it. Could be anything. Native grasses, soils, animals, wetlands, etc... Those programs can stopped by the landowner, sometimes at a penalty but they can be stopped.
