I pressure washed my deck yesterday and will put a coat of treatment on it tomorrow. I want the wood to last forever on my deck. The lady at Lowe's talked me out of Thompson's and into Olympic "Wood Protector". She said Thompsons would only last 6 months max and this was much more durable. I hope she knows her wood treatment. Gonna be a day full of beer drinking tomorrow.

My deck ain't like it used to be. I believe pressure washing it too much can make it weak. One side of it collapsed not long ago. ok i'm done.
I'm one bad ass little person and a special kind of stupid.....

Thompsons lasts as long as any other treatment in Alabama. Especially if you have a lot of sun on it. But if you washed it with bleach I would stain it then seal it. And if you didn't pressure wash it with bleach you need to. Coming from someone who built decks for a living for years. Just my .02 though

I'll never have another wood deck as long as I live. Going with concrete porch, patio, etc when I build next Spring. Tired of replacing wood of any kind.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.
