I might worry more about scent control if I could go 3 hours without breathing or farting.

Anyone who thinks a deer can't smell you.... After you dumped some concoction of smelly crap on yourself.... I would suggest focusing on your Golf game this winter... or maybe take up Tennis or something. There's more constructive things for you to be doing in life.

Scent control beyond rubber boots and unscented laundry detergent is a frivolous effort on it's best day.

I have a bee smoker that I use to cover myself with smoke. I can’t seem to get anyone else to try it. Think about this…. If you smell smoke, can you smell anything else? Smoke is also kills bacteria. Keeps my smell down, as well as being one of, if not the most effective “nose jammer” smell in the world.

I’ve killed 2 mature bucks, downwind, while using smoke as a cover. I had 5 rack bucks, at different times, within 30 yards of me in MO one morning last year. I was hunting from the ground and all were within 30 yards. But using smoke as a cover scent is just silly, right?

I put lighter pine in my clothing totes. I use scent free wash, and autumn scented dryer sheets. I put deer pee on my boots before I walk into where I hunt, and I pay attention to the wind.

I do hang my clothes outside, bath and put on no scented stuff, but I’m always hunting downwind of where I think they’ll come from.
Actually my biggest concern is how I get to my tree and them not crossing my trail. Don’t hear folks talk about that much.
Ive shot several deer standing in my trail smelling where I walked in.

You’re right about that Globe. I had a doe cross my trail coming to my stand and spent almost 20 minutes watching her scent trail me right to the wee lot my stand. It was very educational.

I’m more worried about what I leave on the ground for the next 36 hr than when I’m hunting. I try to have my scent going into what I think is opposite direction of where deer coming from.

I buy a bottle of autumn scent killer every year just because it reminds me of hunting with my dad. I don't think the chit works in the slightest but it brings back memories every time I use it

I was hunting near the water on Smith Lake. Guy would blow leaves every Saturday am but the deer was use to it and paid no attention. A ridge ran behind me and if the deer ever came out above me I was busted. Didnt matter how scent free I tried to be. Thermals always came up off the lake in the am. One morning dude lights those leaves and I was about to choke from smoke. I thought I might as well climb down because deer will be fleeing this forest fire. Luckily a doe came in off the ridge, walks right past me and never smelled me headed towards the smoke. Light bulb went off. I ended up seeing several deer, a coyote, and a fox all downwind. Never knew I was there. From that day forward I smoked clothes and even though its not fool proof because nothing is, Ive seen many more deer from downwind without getting blown out. Not fool proof because I have been blown at, however much better.
Fast forward several years and asked some friends who I will just say is "in the Industry" and were very well know amongst the TV hunting crews. I was told if your not smoking your not even in the game. Also told me all that product they push on TV was laughable because most smoke their clothes. They even told me they smoke their bait sites in the same manner as you do Fur. Ive had buddys try it but give up, got some that sold out to it still. I will say I try to wash clothes in scent free detergent and bath in scent free soap before a hunt, then apply smoke. Has saved me $ because a lighter is cheap smile

These days it’s scent free soap and wind direction. You aren’t covering anything. Only adding a layer to stink with the olfactory senses of a deer.

Asking for a friend.

EPIC rofl rofl rofl

I can’t help but picture one of these millennials pouring liquid smoke in his vape pen so he can “blow clouds” of cover scent

I used BA tree pine and it smelled like straight up turpentine. Use to burn my hands and face when I’d put it on.

When me and my buddy used to tent camp on Management Areas, we'd hang our hunting clothes on line and let the campfire smoke hit em. And our fires were all lighter knots. Worked.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
