US, European Officials Quietly Nudge Ukraine To Seek PeaceThe Highlights: Ukraine's top commander admitted there will be no breakthrough and the battlefield situation is in a stalemate. The New York Times characterized his remarks as "the first time a top Ukrainian commander said the fighting had reached an impasse." Ukraine's ability to refresh its military ranks is vanishing fast. "Manpower is at the top of the administration’s concerns right now,” an official told NBC. The West can keep sending them weapons, “but if they don’t have competent forces to use them it doesn’t do a lot of good.” The US public's pro-Ukraine fervor has cooled: A new Gallup poll found 41% say the US is doing too much for Ukraine -- a big leap from the 29% who said that in June. Many Americans think that money should be used to improve conditions at home.

Yeah...
I have felt this coming for a few months now with Ukraine's inability to break through Russia's lines.
It's sad for the people of Ukraine that they are going to lose a huge chunk of their country after fighting so hard for so many years and paying a horrible price in humanity.
It will be seen as a hollow win for the allies, spending so much money and resources and so much loss of human lives for Ukraine. Yet, I think at least it has taught countries like Russia, China, Iran and North Korea, that if you try to go this route it is going to cost you dearly in your future ability to make war against your neighbors. It has also done something that Trump tried to do for 4 years, and that was to get Europe to start spending their own money on their own defense. I think you are going to see countries like Germany, Poland and Japan spend money on re-armament like we have never seen before as a result of this.
For Russia it will go down as a pyrrhic victory. Sure... They gained some wasteland, but I don't believe that Russia will ever recover from this militarily or from a population stand point. Their population was already on the decline, and it will only get worse now. Without men of fighting age, it is hard to make war against your neighbors or worst yet build a viable and thriving economy, which will ultimately lead to unrest and possibly revolution. Similar to what happened with WWI and Czarist Russia, if Russia devolves into revolution and civil war this war with Ukraine will be looked back on in history books and seen as the catalyst for it all.

Zelensky was in the news yesterday complaining about Israel taking all the attention away from Ukraine and now they need more money. Sorry dude, you have been given enough. Daddy has to cut you off and you gotta learn to live on your own.

I think most Americans will look at it this way, "Well at least we taught Russia a lesson and it didn't cost any American lives."

Zelensky will sign a peace agreement with Russia.
Soon thereafter, he will retire to Miami beach with the fortune he has skimmed from the billions in aid sent to Ukraine.

Once this fiasco is over, the American tax payer will then start paying the really big bucks to start rebuilding. The Billions Biden has sent before now will only be a drop in the bucket compared to what we will pay to rebuild all the destruction.
If at first you dont succeed, You may not want to try parachuting

That is the tradition. Biden remembers how we did it after the Spanish American War.

Total Russian withdrawal and Zelenskyy will give them back the Belgorod region. For a country without a navy, they just took out another ship in Kerch. Nearly everything they have hit in the Russian Navy was parked at the dock or anchored. They have not dented anything that was in full combat mode.

What about the mosoka or whatever the name of the flag ship of the Russian navy. There was a couple other ships that were hit with naval drones. Y'all ever looked at the owner of zerohedgy? His dad in particular. Sounds reliable.

You have to wait for it, but its coming. Biden will declare Victory, Russia will get their chunk of land (real winners), more money will be laundered through the rebuilding of Ukraine (somehow or another we are responsible for that just ask any company with a finger in the pot), and the Dems will have more than enough investment capital to cheat an election again.

They should have to return all weapons we sent to them to keep Russia from getting their hands on them or them being shipped to Hamas or Syria. All US supplies. Except humanitarian

I agree with your assessment. With Russia being humbled, that is one enemy our children won't have to worry about for a while anyways. When a peace agreement is signed it will be time to turn most of our attention to China and Iran. Let Europe rebuild Ukraine.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

A lot of people died for nothing and billions of our tax dollars wasted. Russia will probably sweep in and take the whole country now. It went exactly as planned. Lockheed Martin, Northrop and the other war mongers didn't think it was a waste. They fattened their wallets. Just imagine how much of our tax money was skimmed off the top in each bundle we sent them from politicians and anyone else who is involved. We sent the Taliban 160 million dollars. Israel is the same way. Imagine the USA keeping it's money within our border, securing our own border and minding our own business. We could have teachers getting paid well. Armed police in schools. Modern infrastructure, higher social security and anything else we wanted.
