Staying in contact with Mbrock. I seen a monster shooter after does on my 1st set. Problem is all the deer I’m seeing are on leased land and won’t cross the line to the WIHA public. Did have a spike come to my calls and straight to my decoy. He liked her a lot LOL. Maybe I can talk him into coming my way. We scouted and hang a couple stands yesterday and saw another shooter a hunter bumped out of a draw. So y’all keep the fingers crossed there are 3 Bama boys up here with tags needs filling

Back in the same spot. Moved my stand up to 18’ from 10’. Had the spike at 7yrds he didn’t mind. Rain is gonna knock me off this spot for 2 days I think. We’ve talked to neighbors and they know about the bucks I saw. Giants- supposedly 3 in the area. The sign is unreal! Volleyball size trees rubbed. Saw 10 does , 2 shooters a spike and 2 gay horney fox squirrels. Calm afternoon so time to hit these horns and see what happens. It’s beautiful here. We got stands close to the road in thick ceader for rain hunts next 2 days and to kill some does. Buck sign in both areas too. Good luck Matt

Was soaked with sweat after the adjustment to my stand. Saw a big deer head down at 150 wouldn’t come to calls. Rain next 2 days. Put my buddy just north of me on the corner of property and he passed a nice 9 pt. Said he would have shot it in bama all day long but it was 60yrds with a doe. We moving to 2 new spot’s tomorrow. I’m up in a ceader- real thick with good sign and we plan to fill doe tags if we can just to draw blood. Umbrella and rain gear deploy let’s be redneck and just kill something Mbrock

With cold rain coming I moved to a 10 acre ceader thicket surrounded by private. Sounds like WW3 started with duck hunters. I’m 10’ up a ceader with Trixie the decoy ready for a date. Will try to fill a doe tag here if possible. It’s time to draw blood Mbrock

I’m trying man. I talked to a farmer last night who’s showing me his place today after he leaves church. Said I should have a good opportunity to gig a good one there. Hope so. I’m not seeing anything much on the WIHA despite being covered up in deer sign. 🤷🏼♂️
I got buddies up here hunting private ground who are seeing plenty of deer, and good ones.

I suck at bow hunting. Seen 4 does called in a spike and a big 7pt. One of those does was a 200lb deer. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I knocked hair off a doe. Shot sounded like bone and looked low shoulder. Near side leg was broke and heard her crash but white hair and clean arrow makes me think leg/ sternum. It’s pouring rain now. Maybe it cut bottom of heart she looked hurt bad but can’t see blood so I climbed back up waiting on my buddy and let her lay

A guy that I go to church with, is headed out there to hunt next week. He's hunting 36,000 acres of private property. The property owner killed a deer near the property line, where it adjoins public land. A client hunted the deer for 2 weeks. Paid for one week, then the owner let him pay by the day for another week. The little buck ended up scoring 221 5/8 and weighed 306 lbs. The picture I saw of it looks like some high fence freak, but it's not.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Went to check my arrow and rain drove me back under my old Camo umbrella. Came around a ceader near my stand and Trixie the decoy scared the shat out of me. Thought I had walked up face to face with one LOL

I got back from Kansas a few days ago, it was by far the slowest I have ever seen it. I never saw any chasing, yet the few mature bucks I saw were all locked down with does. And the deer I shot, along with the other two I helped with had zero tarsal gland staining. It’s been a very odd year. This was in NE Kansas unit 9 [quote=ColeT] I’ve seen deer on 3 out of 12 hunts. I’ve seen 2 one yr old bucks and 2 small 8s about 90-100” each. I’ve driven hundreds of miles and seen 3 deer from the highway. Definitely something different.
