Todd, heres several pictures of the animal you just said dont exist He’s using the word game. Panthers are not jaguars but both are big cats. They’re has been black jaguars in Alabama. In a fence. So technically they have been in Alabama and it may have only been one but since we’re in the nut cutting yes at least one has been in Alabama. Have they broken out or got loose is the question. Lighting conditions can attribute to perceived colors. Backlit etc…… Has misidentification happened, absolutely it has and more often than not. Eye witnesses are not always correct. Things happen but to be absolute in denial of something that is plausible is being a bit much. There used to be a big exotic pet trade. Not sure now but at one time there were some tropical cats kept by some wealthy folks. you left out drug dealers . late 70s thru the 80s drug dealers would have them . it kinda turned into a one up them thing . the black one me and my BIL saw we figured it was one that had been let go or got loose hell the guy just down the road form me had two female lions tied out on chains in his yard ,one broke loose killed his wife . never knew he had them till that happened
