Whats the difference in appearance of a hill deer and a flatland deer?

We think he’s a 3.5 yr old. As many acorns as we’ve had I think a 4yr old would be fatter at this point in the year. The other picture I have of him he almost looks 2, but it’s not a great pic for aging.

I meant to black out the antlers for that very reason but I forgot. Got another buck that I know is 3 that’s got a much better rack and others similar so the rack doesn’t make me think he’d have to be 4.

Hopefully he makes it to 5.
