So getting back there wasn't the problem. Skipped over the mud hole twice. The problem was the hill I had to climb to get out. Figured I would back out, turn around and go ass first up the hill. Didn't count on dragging the nose through the high center at the mud hole. Was game over.

I drove a 93 Nissan maxima in high school. Kept my bow and climber in the trunk. It had tow hooks under the rear bumper and had a small come along that helped me out of several situations. Good times.

I'll never get upset at the being the butt of a joke or two. Small price to pay for the help. I really though I'd be a the Toyota dealership tomorrow.

Funniest part of the whole thing. I called Wheeler Wrecker, good people. Owner sent his son who showed with about 3 guys and their girlfriend's in a pick up. They wouldn't send a Wrecker. One of the girls said, "Is this your wife's car? "

If I recall, I had it in 2wd up to that point because it wasn’t too bad. Had already eased through a couple of similar spots before that one no problem and thought that one would be the same. Eased into that one and when the wheels started slipping the traction control killed the momentum. I put it in 4wd and locked the rear diff but at that point, both diffs where high centered enough that I wasn’t getting any traction. It only took a light tug to get it moving again and it came out.
