We just bought a Highlander. Thing is quiet and rides like a caddie. Technology is crazy and we got the limited trim model for pretty cheap. Leather, heat/cooled seats, etc That distance maintaining cruise control is the finest thing to come along in a while . I hate it. Hate it too. Always turn it off.

So y'all like hitting the brakes and then speeding back up constantly ? On the interstate I set it with plenty of distance and can drive a couple of hours and never have to hit the brakes , the gas or cruise settings, I'm a fan. I'm not one to tailgate though.

Is the highlander offered in a 6 cylinder? Apparently not anymore. Looks like only a 4 cylinder Turbo.

Just last week when traveling to East Tennessee, I set the cruise on 70 at Trussville on I59 and didn’t have to touch it until I got to Chattanooga. Love the adaptive cruise control with the distance and lane assist controls. I just rested my hands on the wheel because it was like the truck was driving itself. Very fine vehicle and fun to drive.

BTW, I'm not advocating driving hands free , but it will steer you around a big , sweeping curve hands free .

We went through this back in the Spring. Tried every brand and model. I know it’s not one of your choices, but my wife chose a 23 Acura MDX and loves it

We have a 2015 Highlander with the 3.5 V6. It’s impressive how strong and smooth riding it is. Ours has 87,000 miles 8 years in. Toyota has come a long way since the ‘78 Corolla.
I don’t care for the radar adaptive cruise control, but that’s a minor complaint.

I have a Palisade AWD - very smooth driving vehicle. Very roomy with 3rd row seat. Lots of acceleration, pulls a trailer well. Gets about 24.5MPG in Eco Mode.

The "feature" that bugs me is the engine shutting off at redlights and stop signs. They have that backwards , you should have to turn it on if you want it , not off if you don't.

Of those choices, Toyota. The Korean cars are not even in the same league.
