To be fair....the phones have to basically be touching......and not just touching, but the tops of each phone touching. Also, you can go in the settings and keep it enabled but check what information can and cannot be transferred that way. But either way, it's not like someone walking by you in the grocery store can steal your info. They'd literally have to take both phones and touch the tops together.
