I’m wondering if duck hunters can actually identify the species they’re working or do they just get lucky. Especially with specific ducks having differing limits and then there’s that male female thing you gotta know before you legally shoot a duck. Yep it’s no problem. Yup almost 40 years in myself and it’s usually not a problem because each species kinda has its own mannerisms, color patterns and flight patterns. A few other nuances and then the differing quacks or whistles. Even in low light it’s very much possible. Seeing ducks on the water even at distance their profiles are somewhat different and then there’s habitat.
