When I was working Jefferson Co I checked a complaint of a mountain lion near Gardendale....and it was true. I found and eventually captured the lion. It ended up being transported to Texas......

rest of the story...it was 35 pounds and belonged to a stripper at Sammys who did not have proper(any) permits to keep a lion in Alabama. And no, I do not know if it was part of her "routine"....

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I wonder just how old/young a 35 pounder would be. Surely less than a year.

Did you tame two kitty's while you were there?

One of them critters just can’t be tamed.

I believe you jwalker. I have seen several things that isn't suppose to exist. I'm not embarrassed to say it because I speak the truth. I have seen one ghost, a timber rattler that's was way longer than myself and I'm 6ft 2in.... and I really think I heard 2 bigfoots talking to each other one day in Bankhead Forest. I have also seen an ant eater in a subdivision in Madison. Saw a turtle in the Paint Rock River just upstream from the Tennessee River with a 3ft shell. Seen a gar about 7ft long, seen spoonbill, sturgeon, walleye. It's taken me 42yrs and I haven't seen anything in years since. I did see a bear on Redstone Arsenal about a year ago.

I haven't seen a mountain lion though. Or a UFO. Or an alien. That ghost and the bigfoot talking flipped my world enough. Last year me and my kid was fishing a swamp on Redstone Arsenal around midnight and we had something approach us and stop just outside of my headlamp. We heard it approaching us for a good minute. It was on two feet in the water so we heard it well. It was so close we could hear water dripping off it. I swear on my kids life like I said before, I have no shame to tell these stories because I'm not lying. I can't explain the bigfoot stuff. I know it's ridiculous but it really happened. I don't think two humans could have my instincts going haywire long before I approached them. I don't think two hunters would be hiding in a thicket talking like Asian cavemen either. Out in the middle of nowhere. So, yeah, a damn big cat ain't too crazy.

And I don't feel good about swearing on anything, especially my kids life but I'm telling ya, Im not lying.
