If you're holding the winch you're just transferring the force to your body.
And such a winch would eat batteries FAST because of the torque required.

They make a winch that runs of a drill. What do they call those that you just wrap a couple wraps of rope around and it pulls how ever long your rope is? I'd like to have one of those that runs off a 1/2 impact.

Battery and drill powered winches are all over Amazon. The 2 cycle gas winches are also available

Just take a small 1500lb 12volt winch and make some leads for it to hook it the battery. Make a bracket and use it as needed. This. Harbor Freight/Vevor 12 winch. Ebay/Esty sell 3d printed battery cradles with lugs on them for all the major brands. Buddy uses a 18v milwalkee battery on his make shift gantry crane.
