Midwest hunters are also conditioned to harvest and reporting regulations. AL hunters are not. BIG difference.
If we didn't have someone like Sykes constantly spouting off that he can't get compliance, etc. maybe things could improve. What they need to do is reach out to hunters and partner with us instead of this us vs them forced crap. Hunting is the only real freedom many of us still enjoy and we don't care for their tone. Just my opinion.

After seeing Missouri CWD plan I’m convinced they are dumber than Chuck and maybe the idiots with the TWRA.
Maybe they won’t sweep things under the rug. They just come out and say they going to destroy the deer herd.
These people need to talk to Nebraska and South Dakota. Geez it isn’t hard to figure out.

Alabama will never be a good game managed state. It’s the culture in this state. Folks just want to kill everything. People in this state aren’t happy for others when they kill a big one, instead it’s like it’s not possible for anyone else to shoot a big one so they’re offended. Then try and get some help learning to hunt, good luck with that. It’s an every man for himself attitude. And that’s just describing the law abiding hunters which I would estimate account for 25% of people who actually kill deer. The rest are trespassing poaching outlaws who don’t respect anything, not even their own. Guess what, if you don’t game check you’re an outlaw. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know what’s coming….. “who do you hunt around?” Or “I’ve never done X”. Sorry but ain’t nobody changing my mind on this because I’ve seen it with my own eyes, year after year since I’ve started hunting. It’s going to require a generation or two dying off before anything changes for the better in this state.

I don’t think I’ve ever hunted or been friends with anyone like that. Not the outlaw part but all the rest.

and why a hot link in a letter? just seems wrong/ Its cause paper letters are rare. I bet that letter was also sent as a pdf to the guy's email, but they still have to send a paper copy as a legal back up.

What in tarnation is a wildlife Ecological Health Specialist ?
A bureaucrat paid for by your tax dollars that wants to kill all the deer on your private property.

We need to hire someone from the Missouri Game and Fish division, to take over AL deer hunting. They are light years ahead of us. There are about 49 states ahead of Alabama in game management. I approve this message. I'd like to see just one thing Game Check has accomplished. Just one. Welllll , it's counted some dead deer,,,,,,, lol

What they need to do is reach out to hunters and partner with us instead of this us vs them forced crap. Hunting is the only real freedom many of us still enjoy and we don't care for their tone. Just my opinion. Exactly. The numbers don't match what Chucky thinks they should, so he throws the hunters under the bus. If 100% of AL reported every deer killed, he wouldn't believe it. Lower harvest numbers don't fit the agenda. Gotta keep ALFA happy with the liberal doe season. There are more deer run over in most Midwest states in one year, than there are in AL in many years, they just don't have ALFA insurance up there.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
