So, Georgia was not one of the 4 best teams. It’s all a matter of opinion and bias. You know that right? The number one factor in deciding who was chosen was who would bring the most money to the pockets of the media moguls. True, FSU would have limped into the playoffs, but if Milroe had been sidelined due to injury during the SEC championship Alabama still would have made it in. The excuse used to leave FSU out was a season ending injury to Jordan Travis. What did Alabama look like when they played USF with their backup qb? Terrible! I would have put FSU’s defense up against Michigan’s #1 defense any day of the week. College football has sunk to a new level of nothing is truly earned if money is to be lost. It still makes me happy to see Alabama lose. I was hoping for a slaughter, but sometimes losing a close one stings more. I hope the sting lasts for a while.

Why should they have played? Most were transfer players anyway. There’s not much loyalty to an alma mater anymore with college football players. They got their money. The coach can’t make a player play in a bowl game. What can he do, pull their scholarships? 😂 The majority if the players could care less about the scholarships. Only the special teams players care about scholarships. The players have the same mindset as the CFP, media, and everyone making money off CFB games. Ethics and all that crap doesn’t exist in the sport of CFB. No incentive for it to. Money is the only thing that motivates most NFL bound players.

They should have played so they could beat GA to prove they deserved to be there. By being a bunch of quitters, they just made it even more obvious they didn't belong there. Michigan would have beat them by 30.

Why in hell would FSU want to prove they deserved to be there after proving it all season and then being cheated out of it? I think their big middle finger to the CFP was very appropriate.

I’ll,answer that question. Those players aren’t stupid. They knew what was going to happen as soon as GA was named their opponent. they knew and didn’t want to get embarrassed. The draft is coming up and a complete ass whopping would call into question the quality of the competition FSU has played all year as well as the competition those same players had played and built their resumes on all year. If everything you’ve built your resume on, turns out to be nothing more than a smoke screen, what happens to your draft stock. Better to lay low and lay out than to help prove your team and you personally really haven’t played hardly any competition all year. The ACC should not even be considered a P5 conference anymore.

Which coincidentally, is exactly why FSU is trying to get out.

The best 4 teams played in the playoffs this year. People cry all you want but both games were nail biters. FSU couldn’t have put up the 3 points they did on Georgia on either of Washington or Michigan. Also Georgia had their shot to prove they were in the top 4 and blew it. Go home, put cream on your little hurt bobo’s and get ready for baseball season because you all sound like a bunch of women.

Bama never belonged there, their record was the same as Georgia. Losing to an overrated texas team should not qualify you to get in the playoffs. If fsu played Michigan and liberty played Washington, results would have been exactly the same! If Georgia or Missouri or Mississippi. Would have gotten in ,sec would be playing for a NC again.

Barn fans argue about when Saban is going to retire, whether the refs favor Bama, whether Bama really should be in the playoffs over GA and FSU, etc. The only thing they ever say about their own team is “we’ve finally got the right coach this time”, “Bama is scared of us”, or my personal favorite, “we are a really young team right now, just wait til a couple years from now”. It’s actually pretty comical.

It’s all in good fun. I find Backwoods to be a funny guy and I don’t think there is a single person on here that hasn’t trolled someone in the football/sports forum. The committee finally got it right and the best 4 teams (minus potentially GA) played each other last night. Bama was lucky to even be there with the team they had this year, and had their chance and failed to capitalize. At the end of the day, it’s just a bunch of 18-22 yr olds playing a game with an oblong ball that is not designed to bounce straight, so you never really know which way the ball or things will go. I like all you guys on here and it’s a fun place to cut loose. Hugh Freeze and Auburn both still suck though.

The truth is if it was truly the four best teams Georgia would have been in it, they are one of the four best teams this year weather they lost to Bama or not. If it was the four most deserved teams fsu would have been in there, because the won a major conference and were un defeated. So either way, in MY opinion they did not not get it right.
