He has not committed to Bama and will not. Sounds like Kingsbury may be the UW coach; he may just stay there. Solid hire for UW also How so? I think he's only had like 3 winning seasons as a head coach. The University of Washington lost out big time on this deal.

This is Rogerās last year to prove himself as a pro prospect and possibly break some more NCAA passing records. He would be rolling the dice going to Alabama. He needs to go somewhere where he is guaranteed to be a starter. As bad as everyone talked about Milroe I figured everyone here except CNC would think Will Rogers would be a guaranteed starter over Milroe

Milroe will either develop further this spring under Grubbs (supposedly the QB whisperer) or heāll get passed up by others that do and passed on by the coaches and Bama will have a new starter. IMO Rees sucked as an OC and if you look at Buchner, he sucked at developing QBs. We will have to see if Grubbs can do anything with Milroe.
Iāve said all along that Milroe has all the physical tools, and Iāve also said that I think that Milroe holds the ball too long, doesnāt get the ball out quickly, and makes bad decisions. All because his brain just does not process things quickly enough to be a truly elite QB and passer. I said it in numerous posts early on and heās done nothing to prove me wrong so far. Weāll see. Everyone is now on even footing since there will be a completely new offense, and Milroe doesnāt have the same ā3 yrs already in the program advantageā in the QB room that he had last year. If Grubbs can do with Milroe what he did with Penix, CNC might be correct, because Milroe is a far better athlete than Penix. That said, I still say thereās a 50/50 chance that Milroe is not the starter next season. Itās a lack of mental talent, not physical.

put him at tailback/Hback ... I donāt see Bama running the I formation so I doubt they have a tail back. Iām not sure if Washington used the H more as a receiver or a sniffer, but since Milroe doesnāt seem to have ever played receiver or have any experience blocking, I donāt see H back in his future either. Not to mention he donāt want to play those positions

put him at tailback/Hback ... If they try to do that,;he will transfer; plenty of teams will play him at QB.

Has Milroe been at bammer three years now so he is eligible to declare for the NFL? Personally, with his improvement over the year I think a lot of bammer fans have seriously underrated what he meant to the team. He was almost unstoppable on reasonable 3rd down situations when he rolled out and could pass to an open receiver for the First down or simply run for it if the receiver isn't open. I think he is going to be Jalen Hurts 2.0 with better running ability. If Debo is so sold on Sayin then Milroe might be better off pulling a Hurts and moving elsewhere to close out his career.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

put him at tailback/Hback ... He will transfer; plenty of teams will play him at QB. They absolutely will and without Alabama's coaching and him being surrounded by complete team, of 85 other 4 and 5 stars, he's not going to look so great or be quite as effective and will be exactly what he was at Bama this past year at QB, average and serviceable. He's still going to be the best athlete on the field but that still does not always translate to you being an elite level QB. I honestly hope that he stays and that Grubbs can work his magic with Milroe, but after watching him play in both 2022 and 2023, I still stand by my statement that, right now, his brain is just not processing and reacting fast enough to what he's seeing, to be "elite type" effective in the passing game. Maybe Grubbs can fix it, maybe he cant, but he's far better than any one of the QB coaches Bama has had since Milroe got there, so there is a chance. And if Milroe does turn out to be a world beater, it will be because of Grubbs. Neither Obrien nor Rees could help him put it all together, and as great of an athlete as he is, you can bet that serious time was spent with him and on him over the past 3 yrs, trying to get him there. Obrien even told him in 2022 that he needed to look at playing another position and QB was not the spot for him. It's also interesting that Julian Sayin was Deboer's number one QB target in the 22 recruiting class, before Saban snaked him out from under everyone and got him pointed to Bama. That may not bode well for Milroe either. Incoming coaches like to bring "their guys" with them (both coaches and players) and I'm sure that Deboer is chomping at the bit to be able to coach Sayin.

Milroe has been at Bama for three full years and is NFL draft eligible this year. Here's what the draft experts and evaluators say about Milroe:
"Milroe was not considered by most to be a 2024 NFL draft prospect. He's not listed on many rankings by draft experts.
The Tide's last three primary starting quarterbacks (Tua Tagovailoa, Mac Jones and Bryce Young) have all been first-round picks. It's unlikely Milroe will follow in those footsteps, but he might can get himself into the Day 2 conversation for 2025, if he returns next year with a strong junior campaign."

I really hope it works out for Milroe I really do like him, but I believe Sayin is the real deal. I know it was highlights but he was making it rain Highlights against who? If it was high school kids I wouldnāt freak out over him just yet. I havenāt seen him on film at all so these comments are sight unseen. But pretty much every 4-5 star kid has a highlight reel that is absolutely incredible in the high school years. I coached a kid that looked like a man among preschoolers everyday, every game. Heās at FL now and heās good no doubt, but heās among other men there. It definitely donāt look the same to us or him lol.
