I’d have to sell something else to get it. Sellers remorse is too strong for that.

I got the 308 when it was up, fine gun. I mentioned I got the 308 pro hunter iii also, I don't know why steyr uses the name ph iii and ph ii interchangeably or if they even know what model it is. but seems like a solid shooter, defiantly at least 7.8 lbs, with burris 50mm it was 9 lbs. trigger seems to be super light pull. and was surprised to see steyr usa headquarters in bessemer al. next i'll see how it shoots. Never had a boutique gun but after getting burnt on a brand new ruger american I figure its the right price and time to try one of these boutique guns.

Everybody can always use another rifle. I'll be first to say Steyrs aren't the prettiest of lead slingers but them cloverleaf groups look real good. Never seen a Steyr that wouldn't group outstanding.
Skinny is my EX.Alcohol was involved.

I’d have one if they weren’t so heavy, that is my only complaint about them.
The gun and scope I’m presently toting weighs less than just the styer Unscoped.

Got one last week in .308, feels much lighter than my TC Pro Hunter. $745 after the transfer fee. Can’t beat that. 👍🏼 I did some investigating and the ones they were selling as the pro hunter 3 they changed the ad to say prohunter 2 but with the same model number, the ph3 is 6.6 lbs while the ph2 is 7. 6 lbs. not too big of a difference. but yeah steyr is clearing out the 2's to make way for lighter 3's. and it was probably a typo on the .308. let us know if you actually got a pro hunter iii and not a ii.

I know they have a good rep for accuracy; but that is an ugly rifle. IMO Yep never owned one and never will. I've tried and tried to like 'em, but nope...
