We are witnessing the death of College Football like we used to know it. When the dust settles, the schools with the most $$$ will come out on top. Not all big schools are paying the BIG money. They should have capped NIL. The dummies are paying more than the NFL minimum...

This is something I've been told by some people that would know, but bammer is losing all these people because they just simply don't have the NIL funds available to use that some of these other schools do. FSU must be flush with NIL money.
This was not a trolling post. It is a serious post. Pissed off FSU fans and a smart person are making them bank for NIL. Here's the link to a website to see how ANY FAN can donate... FSU: The Battles End

All outside sources/collectives which no one has control over; so there is no way to cap it under the current environment.

The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

I think the next step the NCAA does is figure out a way to cap it and spread the money around a little bit. And pocket “their” share

NCAA is like our government. Created a monster and still wants control.

I didn’t realize Alabama had that in place. I knew Auburn did, they actively solicit donations. I guess Alabama is behind the 8 ball when it comes to NIL. They have relied on the Saban factor and now will have to catch up. It won’t take long. Don’t kid yourself, Alabama and Auburn both have heavy hitter money alumni

Don't blame the NCAA for the NIL. They fought it and the courts ruled against them. Blame the courts, but then who is to say that a kid can't make money on his own talent? Somewhere there is a happy medium and I'm sure people a lot smarter than me are working on it.
My solution would be something like allowing the schools to pay players but have a cap. No NIL. If you want to go the NIL route then you won't be part of the NCAA. Allow a minor league NFL system for the kids that want to go that way instead of school.

BTW…..FSU just got hit with 2 year probation because of NIL misconduct. They are the first to run afoul of NCAA NIL law

Give it time, I'm sure they'll figure it out. Then again, who the hell wants to go to a school with all male cheerleaders.

This makes sense to me. Every school gets up to $X. In order to really allow parity, let a collective be run through the schools to make up any deficits for schools that cannot afford that $X figure. I also think every athlete should get something, so set a minimum. Not just football, but all sports. Let the schools decide what sport they want to be good at… and how exactly they want to distribute.

The NCAA is dead man walking in major college football; they don't even have anything to do with playoffs or bowls. They only big money source is the basketball tournament contract
