My observation for many years ( bout 50), of chasing them in Jackson county is best movement temps in winter is high 20's to 32 at daylight , warming to the low 40's midday with partly cloudy to sunny skies with light wind. Basically a cool , crisp day all animals and even humans like to be moving in the woods.

Tomorrow in NA should be a great day for movement after this deep freeze. The first day after last year's deep freeze it got up to about 40 , with some sun was a blood bath .

This is the chart. It was on public land. Given the discussion, I believe this was either done in Bankhead or Skyline. It doesn't take into account seasonal factors, so I'm assuming everything shifts down slightly during the hunting season/winter.

That chart ^^^^^^ is short on info about other factors . However , as far as just temps , in my area ,if I'm reading it correctly , it's confirming something I've been knowing for decades.

I'd like to know more about that chart , location , timeframe , any other weather related factors. It is mighty interesting, thanks for posting .

If it's raining any significant amount I don't see deer. Not even on the side of the road at night in places I always see deer.
