One of my guys shot a buck this morning. Everything points to a leg shot. White hair! Thick dark drops of blood at impact and a couple small drops for about 30yds. We backed out so we don’t stink up the area. If anyone can help him, it would be appreciated.

Usually have bone with a leg shot. Wouldn't surprise me if it's gut/liver. I'll post a list

Leg blood is usually bright red and watery, with bone fragments. Dark May very well be liver or it could be a large muscle group. Hope he gets him!

Good luck! If it was me I'd atleast give him 6 hrs if possible. Don't mean this in a bad way but don't let someone with a inexperienced dog come jump him up quick as possible or you might lose him.

We just backed out and are at the camp drinking coffee waiting on a call back on a dog. I told the guy that shot it to go fix him a drink and calm down. Thanks for the help.

Hope yall find him, yall seeing good movement where you hunt? I was in Monroe Co. last week during the ice storm and it was real slow, saw 3 deer in 4 sits.....

A Gentleman with tracking dogs just happens to be on a track just up the road from the camp. He’s going to come help us out when he’s done there Thank all of y’all for the help. My guy is shook up pretty bad. First time he hunts out of his home state of Texas and has never not recovered a deer he’s shot. I told him not to worry, I knew 1000’s of good people that will help us out. I bet he done pace 100 miles around the yard.
