This is going to be my first time loading rifle ammo and I want to try this load. Has anyone ever loaded it and did it perform good on deer. I’ve done lots of research and read where some had trouble with the bullets not opening up all the way. Some said they performed flawlessly. I’d like info from real people who I feel could lead me the right way. Thanks.
Also would like to try a load for 308 130gr. TTSX.

Personally, I’d probably choose a “softer” bullet(Nosler BT, Sierra tipped matching, or Sierra GameKings, etc) than the Barnes for the Grendel. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Tend to agree with this. Not sure if Barnes makes a lighter TTSX in 6.5 but if they do maybe try that one. Probably really hard to move that 130 grain fast enough for good results with the little Grendel.

He’s wanting the 100 grain in the Grendel and the 130 grain for a 308.

I like the game kings. I will look into them. I have a buddy that shoots 120gr TTSX in his 7-08 and I really like the way they shot and how they performed on deer. So that’s why I want to try them in my Grendel. Thanks for the advice.

Sierra came out with a tipped GameKing for the Grendel but they sold out fast.

Speed is the big thing with mono bullets. Your buddy’s 7-08 should have your Grendel by a couple hundred feet per second. You would probably be fine with them in your Grendel. Just keep impact velocity at least around 2000 fps.

Have to agree on the Nosler ABLR 129, it does a great job.

Tons of info here, https://www.65grendel.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?3-6-5-Grendel-Ammunition-amp-Reloading.
