Every now and again if I have a new piece of land I need to learn I'll bust out the .22 and do a bunch of walking and bust a few heads while I'm at it.

I always say I’m gonna do it in February but never seem to get around to it. I’ll try this year.

If I still had someone to give to that eats them, I would go. I love to squirrel hunt, but I never really cared for eating them. I'd post a picture of my aunt, who at the time was a model for Vanity Fair, busting heads sporting a big bouffant hairdo, but she probably wouldn't want me to. She and my Dad loved them.

I’ve gotten back into it the last 5 years or so since I moved to SC and got closer to a lot of public land. Fun way to scout post deer season, put something different on the table and overall improve shooting skills. I’ve found a few good ways to cook them but probably my favorite is to do the legs like chicken wings.

I am looking to go once deer season ends. Planning to take my kids so they can practice shooting a little. What are some of y'alls favorite ways to cook them?

Like i mentioned above, never was a big fan of them. But, fried young ones were the best. The older ones pressure cooked and then browned and smothered with gravy.

I'm messing with a feist pup now. Hopeing that she will get the hang of treeing before next fall.

You gonna pull them pistols, or whistle Dixie?

Take her to parks with lots of squirrels and accidentally drop the leash regularly. When they run up a few feet and stare it really pisses them off.

Took my 7 and 4 yr old Friday and Saturday evening and shook some vines and had a blast. Killed 5 Friday and 9 Saturday.

We visit Goldstar park in Wetumpka all along for that exact treatment.
