Got a neighbor up the road from me that has done killed 11 of them. He and his wife have 5 or 6 dogs. They don't feed them processed dog food. He kills deer, has them processed, and feeds his dogs with the deer meat. One of the guys I hunt with's parents used to do this with their Chow. He'd kill one a year and have it all in burger meat for his parent's dogs. If I had a big, outside guard dog, I might do this too. Much more natural for them than the processed dog food.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I grew up learning to hunt from my dad and he was pretty picky about what he shot. When I was a teenager he got laid off from the coal mines and started driving a truck all over creation, so our deer hunting was severely impacted. I started hunting with my grandpa and his philosophy was that if it had two eyes and a butthole it was catching a bullet. I developed some bad habits over those years that I truly regret. When I got old enough to drive myself hunting and joining clubs, I used to view the sign out board as a race to see who could kill the most deer...... and I won every single year. I killed 24 in one season and 9 rack bucks...... all legal because back in those days buck limits were 1 a day. I'd shoot the dang things and just give them to people. I'm really glad I grew out of that mess not too long after that.

My neighbors don't live on the property so when they are there they are hunting. Based on the single rifle shots I'd say between 5 of them they have killed around 50 off about 350 acres. About 100% of the time I go over there to talk to them they got a dead one in the back of the truck.
That's not an isolated issue that I own either. That happens all over the State if it is not happening next to where you are trying to hunt hope that doesn't change..... because it can. You just need the right people to move in next to you. All your efforts and work you've put into your property become a waste. Nothing fun about it. Facts. I’ve seen great places go to crap with a single change in who hunts. Yessir one of my best leases is the worst I’ve ever seen this year due to new hunters moving in and shooting every buck that comes across the property line. Went from seeing 5-8 deer every sit with two or three being nice 2-3 year old bucks and occasionally a shooter in the mix with does to see nothing ever sit. They drive their side by side in around 3 in the afternoon and will be leave before dark and shot almost everytime they were in the woods. Now I haven’t had hardly any deer on camera and damn sure haven’t had a shooter buck on camera since the season came in. I reckon I’m gonna let this place go next year
