The Aquastar mount perfectly in PVC and PVC will fit in a sideways mounted rod holder. I rigged my old Malibu to hold these lights. I still have the lights if you're interested. I would sell them reasonably. Maybe some of their newer LED lights can work with a smaller battery. It might be worth a call to them.
