Its pretty simplr. A young guy gets into the pros 5th round pick and barely makes the team. Now He's Rich!...and he quickly finds out that he is not rich when he quickly blows all his money. He will never be a starter, he will always be competing for the #2 or #3 spot, and he will never get the mega millions paycheck. So a really rich guy pays him $250k to drop a pass or miss a block here and there.
The goal of that game was tv ratings, selling crap, and gambling. Keep in mind that the more bets are made the more the house gets, and heck for the first time ever we got an overtime Super Bowl! That also means 20 more minutes to place wagers instantly on your phone.

Its very easy to pay mid and low tier players to miss blocks, drop easy passes, Anyone who played after high school knows this is very real.

That also means 20 more minutes to place wagers instantly on your phone. By your argument he would never be in the game to begin with to drop a pass. And if he dropped one, he would never see the field again to be able to intentionally drop another one. Too many players that could become disgruntled and tell on the system for some bribe money if that was happening.

The extra point being kicked that low by an NFL kicker and be blocked is something that just doesn’t happen except on an extremely rare occasion. For it to happen in a Super Bowl is even rarer. It was the setup to allow the tie to happen and get into overtime. IMO there was no chance that the NFL was going to not allow the KC Chiefs to not Win the SB. Too much good publicity and money on the line to lose if the KC Chiefs did not win the SB. Just my worthless 2 cents.

Those guys are already rich. Why would they need to rig a game?? More money The love affair of the century has reportedly upped the NFL value over 300 million. The Chiefs won which further enchnaced the narrative

So the 49ers kicker knew early in the game he needed to shave just one point and did it on an extra point ? The same kicker that hit the longest FG in Super Bowl history for 3 points. He good.

There is plenty to disagree on as far as thinking if the game was rigged or not. If You do not think the NFL is not above ensuring the KC Chiefs would be assured to win the SB with so much money and good publicity on the line for the NFL then not sure if it is worth continued discussion.

Minimum salary in the NFL is 870,000 dollars a year. If I’m a mid tier player, I’m not going to do anything to jeopardize that kind of money. That is Brock Purdy's salary. San Fran QB, drafted last , barely made the team, Super Bowl QB and he lives in San Fran, so thats pocket change.

Hit the extra point a little low and it was blocked , just like it was planned . Yeah, he good. I reckon for those that think the kicker was in on the fix , I'm disagreein' alright.

The PAT was pretty much kicked straight into the helmet of a 49er. But he only kicked a 55 yarder. Which was the record until the Chiefs kicker kicked the 57 yarder. I
