What the two of you are doing is neither of your faults, therefore, I and others fully understand and excuse this behavior. You're both good guys but under the influence of something incredibly powerful, but wholly out of your control. The cause of this is yellow and comes in 50 lb bags. It's obviously the CORN!!!!! making you do it.
It's the most incredible thing. Since legalization, it is the root cause of all problems in society. You guys hang in there. You've simply been in too close of contact with large corn piles, too frequently. Classic overexposure. Season is over now and everyone will quit putting it out and this will slowly wear off. You should both be fully recovered by the end of February.

Y'all ain't gonna believe what I heard on the Paul Finebaum show today. It's got me scratchin' my head and chucklin' all at once. Paul's talkin' 'bout Coach Nick Saban's retirement, right? And I swear, he comes out with the wildest theory I ever heard. He says Coach Saban hung up his hat 'cause of Alabama hunters feedin' deer corn! I near about spit out my sweet tea when I heard that one. Finebaum went on, swearin' up and down that them deer in Alabama got so dang spoiled with all that corn, they done drove Coach Saban to retire. It's the darndest thing! I tell ya, ain't nobody like him in the business.

Which areas of the state are suffering from significant deer population decrease due to the extended doe days ? I know that where I'm at , we've never had more. This is in the N.E. region of the state. Also in most of the areas surrounding me I hear the same thing.... more deer and more big bucks than ever. Maybe this isn't the norm, but it's why I'm asking.

Thought they were going to have to do it for sure, but after the 4th of 5th year of legal baiting, all the deer in those states were dead from lead poisoning, so things settled down and there was no longer a need to do it. Whew, those states sure lucked out on that one.

The reality is most people don’t have enough property to manage the deer population. You can only influence if they want to be on your property or not. 2000 is not nearly enough property to manage the deer population. Unless of course you are high fence.

Quit worrying about what everyone else is doing and do what you can. If they want to shoot every doe and it is legal then ok. If a farmer has a depredation permit to help off his losses then good for him.

Where I live and hunt most of the time is 80 acres surrounded by 1 major farming operation which used to be a club and a lot of smaller tracts like mine. Almost exactly what CNC is talking about. We also have a local farmer who is wearing them out in the off season with his permits. And we still have more deer than I've seen in the 32 years I've lived here. Things are waaayyyy better than they've ever been where I'm at.

In 2020 deer population estimates for Alabama was at its lowest point in the last 30+ years…..Look it up…..Its not just my opinion.
